Can anyone help me i bought a wax pot that has the removable cartridges which you can then roll the wax out straight onto the client it said in the instructions heat up on number 7 (the hottest) then let it cool down, never apply from a number 7 as it is too hot! its ment to be the easy and clean and more portable for mobile therapists! BUT the wax does not roll out! and once the wax gets into the roller it gets stuck and stops rolling all together! im having an arguement with the website i brought it off and there saying im not heating it properly!!!???? and because ive used it they wont refund me, but what i am saying is that it doesn't do what has been stated and advertised- do you think its the brand? i got the babyliss one. If i put the wax from being heated on a number 7 heat i would burn my clients! its not a biggie i have got another wax pot but just wanted a more portable one as the one i have at the mo is a salon wax pot- help me pleassseee

If the wax is too hot at No 7 then heat it to the temperature is a comfortable working temperature (it should feet pretty warm though, try it on the back of your underarm). To start the wax running easier from the roller, once at the optimum temperature, take a wax strip and run the roller along that until it starts to roll easily from the roller head, then this should make it easier to roll onto the clients skin. The wax should roll out nice and thinly if its at the right temperature.

HTH!

BTW I don't use the roller system myself, but this is an excellent tip I picked up from Axion who I trained with for specialist male waxing, he's full of interesting information when it comes to waxing lol!

Thankyou but i did try this and didnt succeed :(
it says in the instructions to heat on a number 7 then turn the dial to number 4 and allow up to 20mins for the wax to cool but by then the wax is too thick and doesnt allow the rollers to move at all i tried it on my wrist and it was just pulling my skin and no wax came out :(
i brought it because it was recommended the best portable system ill be sticking to my salon wax pot from now on lol

Dont worry about the instructions just do it your own way and see if you can make it work.I do not adjust the temp dial on my clean and easy unless i change waxes and they have a different melting point.

im now mobile after many years (ohh i feel old) of happily working in salons, so ive used a few systems and personally i dont like that system, even though i know loads who love it. i know it appeals to a lot of mobile therapists but after research i have opted for the phd system. i havnt had it long but initial reaction is i like it mainly for speed. i have training in 2 weeks with ellisons so im sure i will have formed more of an opinion. i dont think i will be mobile for long though too much llike hard work shiftin all the equipment around. hopefully i will have my garage converted in the next year.

good luck

Also make sure you let the bubbles rise up out of the head before you try and roll it.Te head will then roll better as the air has been expelled and the head just contains wax

Thanks everyone!
i dont think i agree with it or it doesnt agree with me lol
im thinking of getting an egg pot! and the best part it comes in pink! so will match my couch and towels etc woooo!

Thanks again

I think you may find eggpots even worse dont think many get on with them.
If you get used to your roller you will love it although i still use pot and spat i couldnt just have a roller.

Really?
the bad thing is you cant try it and then take it back if you dont like it. It has to be faulty

I was going to say that too - plus, this sounds like a really dumb thing to suggest, but are you rolling it the right way?

lol i am yes.... before i brought it i read up on the reviews some people agreed with it and some didnt and personally i dont but the one thing i agree on that it is clean but def not easy!

Ah ok - I just know that when I first used rollerwax if you did it "against" the way it was meant to it sort of still let some wax out but really pulled at the skin, that's why I thought that might be the reason.

I find rollerwax much easier, cleaner and economical than pot waxing - I just dislike doing waxing in general which is a shame as it's so lucrative!
