I have a question on how should lay out my price list. I have listed the typical chest/back/arm for men and I always have a base price "and up" pricing. I have found that with most chest and back wax most will have their stomachs waxed and their shoulders waxed or blended, but no arm wax. Do I list a shoulder and stomach wax with a separate price or do I just include that pricing in with the chest and back wax, and is this where the "and up" prices come into play? I don't want to have a complicated and "busy" price list, but I also want my clients to know upfront all the prices involved so they aren't blind-sided with hidden costs in the end. I do explain to them on the phone that I have the base price and it goes up depending on how much hair and if there is any trimming involved, especially if they have never been waxed before.
My chest or back wax starts at $40 and goes up, so would I charge another $10 or $20 for a male stomach? I want to be fair to clients, but not shoot myself in the foot by not charging enough, ya know.
Also, when doing an arm wax do I go all the way onto the hand, and if so do I do the fingers also. Do I charge extra for that? My guy scheduled last week for an arm, back, and chest. I went ahead and waxed his hands cause it looked weird to just stop at the wrist. I did not charge him extra for the hands cause he did not ask for that. I explained to him why I was going to do his hands and he was totally cool with it. Should I charge him next time for it? I think I already know the answer to all these questions, I just want to get your take on it all. I know I am running a business I shouldn't be afraid to charge for my services, but I just want to be fair. Maybe I just need to grow a pair and stick up for myself and my business and just charge what needs to be charged, lol. I'm in limbo, hahaha.
