Waxing for females

Hi.

I work doing massages and I myself get male intimate wax and have for years and always been done females. The place I work at have asked me to train in female waxing as they only have one other girl who does it.

My question is, since I have to fund this course myself, would it be worth it? As for myself I know it is a bit nervy having an opposite sex wax you. Would I be wasting money doing the course? I've read females only want a female doing their waxing but I know females wax men more than men wax men even though there is more to be shy about so I'm confused on the divide side and whether to invest in this or not and also the best place to do the course. Thanks.

I personally would want a woman but I don't know about the majority. You may hit a niche

Ye that's the problem. I don't know if it's worth spending the money and saying no to doing the course. It's a strange one as men want women to wax them over a man but women want another woman.

Men who do the treatment are genuin, well speaking on my behalf anyway, but it's as if we're seen as perverts which is quite disheartening.

I get were you're coming from. That said there are male gynecologist and midwives (are they called a midwife? ) and wouldn't be questioned on motives for the job. Maybe do a poll amongst friends and clients on social media. You may be surprised by the response

As long as they are good I don’t care who does it!

Personally I’d only go to a female waxer. You’d have to check if the company would allow you to do the course because I believe there’s some that won’t allow men on a female intimate waxing course. Why not talk to your salon about training in male intimate waxing and add that to your treatment menu instead xx

I don’t see why not. There is a guy near me that specialises in male intimate and to be honest there is no woman I know I would trust with my foof, Id pay him whatever he asked for him to do it but he only does mens.

I reckon you could have a real target market there - if you are specialising in mens you already probably have way more experience than those that do ladies as of all that extra skin and stretching. I’d imagine your clients would be those that want the absolute best and they don’t care about whether you are a man or woman.

I’m the kind of woman that goes to the male doctor because the females think everything is women’s troubles. The male ones actually deal with the problem. They do things methodically and I like that.

As for the clients...overall my male clients are 100% more loyal..but there is way less of them. So Id think you would be way busier doing female waxing too.

I don’t think women would think you’re “pervy” but some women would be uncomfortable and prefer a female therapist.
