I did a leg wax the other day and I think some of the hairs were snapping rather than coming out. At first I thought they were just shorter hairs coming thru but i'm not so sure.
What do you think I have done wrong? I am pulling in correct direction and putting wax on in right direction too
Any idea's?

Where abouts were they all over or just certain areas. Were they hard bristly hairs were they unpigmented so you couldnt see them but could feel them.Has the client been having regular waxes at even spaces apart by you.

In a few area's. They were quite bristly but above the skin surface so I could see them (most of them came out when i went over them again) Yes she has been coming quite regularly for the last 2 months or so

Could be hair that has rubbed where boots are or tight jeans maybe she isnt exfoliating and more importantly moisturising enough which is especially important in winter to carry on with the good results from waxing.Maybe you are not leaving enough time between appointments.
Of course it could be technique but we cant see so cant tell:)
If you have some just finish off with hot wax next time.

I get these on some clients and they seem to improve but never go away completely, what causes these? I seem to have some too and never have a perfect result on my legs but put it down to not doing it regularly enough!

Ok thanks will ask her about that next time. I do use hot wax (Peron Rigot) what do you mean by finishing off with this?

Use it to get the ones that wont come out.It will grab shorter hairs.Just be careful about temperature but it shouldnt be a problem to go over the area as long as you dont have your strips too thick so its too hot.

I don't know but there seems to be some people that just get them and they are so bloomin strong and some of the roots on them are massive.
As you say they do get less if people have regular waxing although not always so i guess it could be a hair stage.

If the client has been a religious shaver before starting to get the legs waxed it can quite often take a good 4+ waxes over 4/5 months or so to see a real difference and a pattern of growth.
Sometimes if the hairs are coarse (like mine) i find its best to leave them a little bit longer inbetween waxing (that is just my opinion from personal experience)

The other thing i find aswell is the quality of wax, i was using berins at first and it was great i had no problems and 1 night when i was in a rush i ran out and had to get a cheap 1 from the whole salers and for some reason i found that the hairs snapped and the hairs grew back rapidly (because of them snapping), i had 2 clients mention about the results and they didn't know i had used a different wax!
