Hi,
I have been waxing for a few years now and have never had a client have anything more than a 'normal' reaction, until last week.
I did a full leg wax on a lady that hadn't had any waxing done for over 4 years.
The wax went fine, I did what i normally do; cleanse, talc lightly, apply wax (warm wax), remove with taught skin etc. When i did her calves some big red blotches appeared, she said they weren't painful. I gave her some aloe vera to take away.
She came in today for an eyebrow shape and i of course asked her how her legs were, she said that evening they looked burned but in the morning they looked bruised.
I had a look at her legs and they did look slightly bruised still, and she had patches of dry skin.
She said that the wax wasn't too hot at the time, i test the temperature at the start and also on the client and it wasn't too hot as far as i was aware. She also said it didn't hurt when i was waxing, well, not more than you'd normall expect. The wax came off cleanly and without any tugging so i am slightly baffled as to what has caused this reaction.
My client was very kind about it, said it wasn't my fault and 'its just one of them things' but thats not good enough for me! I need to know what i've done wrong so it doesn't happen again.
Any ideas much appreciated,
Thanks,
