hello!!

I have a client who has very 'busy' underarm hair. It goes in all directions so I am working in small areas each time. The problem I have is the hairs in the centre seem to interlock and Its very difficult to see which way to apply the wax and which way to strip off. How do you remove hair that tightly crosses and interlocks?

Hope I've explained this well:rolleyes:

In cases like this, I would apply the wax in one direction and remove the bulk, then you'll be able to see what's left a lot clearer. Then remove in the usual way. You can only do what you can. xxx

hi what i do is with my spatula 'push' the hair in the direction the majority is going in then remove - does this make sense?

Do you use hard wax? If so, the direction of the hair growth is not quite as important as the wax kind of shrink wraps the hair...

As Kim said just apply the wax in one direction and be sure to use good pressure. When you remove the strip it will take out all the hair growing in that direction and now you will be able to see which direction to go for the next strip. If you are using hard wax it is really easy to do this method.

Your doing it right in the sense of small strips in the direction of growth then I would just wax it in the direction of the majority and then depending on how sensitive the clients skin is at this stage, re wax in the direction of the rest.

Are the hairs not coming out with what you are doing currently?

So long as you achieve hairless ness without breaking the hair then you are doing what she is paying for.

I do believe though with clients underarms/backs etc where you get bulk or cross linked hair non strip wax is probably much better!

xx

Sounds like I am going to have to invest in some non strip wax!

Thanks everyone......x
