I hate waxing! Its the one thing I am not good at. Small areas are fine.
But leg waxes bikini waxes are my nightmare.

I am waiting to hear back from the waxing queen for info on one of her courses but in the meantime.

Whats the easiest way for me to start a leg wax what part of the leg first?

Sometimes when I go to pull of the strip it gets stuck and doesnt pull why is this?

all comments greatly appreciated

Work on the leg that is furthest away from you first,
apply your wax on the furthest area, of the front area of the leg (working from below the knee to the ankle)
remove from the ankle working your way up the leg,

make sure you are really stretching the skin and pull the strip off like you hate the person, the quicker you pull it the less it will hurt, if you do it half hearted it will cause them more pain and wont come off easily like you are experiencing, hth

Hey,

when i first started beauty, i really hated the waxing side. however with practice it all comes together. so grab a family member or a friend.. get them growing there hairs and practice. practice makes perfect.

when leg waxing id start on the front of the leg just underneath the knee cap and work your way down then go back to the knee and continue on the top of the leg if they also want that area to be treated then turn them over and continue on the back of the leg.

a good wax also helps when waxing an area, some waxes and be very sticky and messy.. whereas a good one will help you to apply it smoothly and be alot easier for you.

the wax getting stuck and not letting you pull.. could be caused by either the wax not being hot enough, the wax being applied to thickly, the wax type or even the way the strip is being pulled. be careful with this, as this can bruise the skin espeshly in the sensitive areas such as bikini areas.

i hope this helps. good luck...

You also need to make sure that you are covering the whole strip before removing.
Use the whole palm of your hand to cover the strip. If you are just rubbing a couple of fingers along the strip, then the wax will not stick to the strip and will get left on the skin. You just need one or two firm rubs :)

I thought I answered you. So sorry, I'll get onto that, but you know I'm in Cardiff in March.

Anyway, call me in the week if you need help 07739 832 328. xxx

Definately still learn your pot and spatula waxing ,its very important to have that basic skill, but when you have had your extra training and mastered it you may find that you will like a roller system for larger areas like legs.
Some of us really like them some don't but it maybe worth trying.

Sorry about my very quick previous reply.

Ok, you're probably applying too much wax. Your wax should be as warm as possible, without burning your client of course. Scrape the wax onto the skin so that you can barely see it. Rub your strip firmly, and rip. xxx

Thankyou so much for your replies! they are really helpful!

Kim- Just wanted to know prices and dates thats all :)

hey

i'm the same. i dont mind waxing a half leg but when it comes to a full leg and doing the knee i'm just not happy with the way i'm doing it

my routine for the bottom half is fine but i feel when doing the thight i'm jumping about. i also find i forget to position the leg sometimes. i think its because i'm that busy concentrating and there trying to chat away i lose track of what i'm doing.

i've noticed a couple of times when doing the thight that the strip sticks. i think i'm either not positioned them right or the wax isn't hot enough

i also think i need to turn the wax up a notch.

Morning :)

I've found the wax rollers are my absolute must haves for legs, though I wouldn't use them anywhere else as I prefer pot wax for all other areas.

You have to make sure you get the temperature right to get a nice thin spread of wax from the roller but they make your life so much easier as they are super quick and easy once you've used them a few times.

Practising on friends and family is always good as you don't have the same pressure, meaning you can take your time to master your own technique. When I started waxing it used to terrify me so I had all my friends grow their fuzz and it really helped getting the extra practise, especially on the bikini area.

Hope this helps
