Hi guys,
Im really into my waxing at the moment, and building up my clients,
I did a client today for a 2nd appointment, so I was trying to speed up, as I thought the last appointment, the client thought I had taken too long, I did under-arms each arm had taken me 10mins, half leg, each leg had taken me half hour is this still toooooo long xx

Are you newly trained ? Sorry I forgot to check your profile before replying.

Firstly your client came back so that is great, you might be taking a long time at the moment but you will speed up.

Did your trainers not give you any timings for the treatments.

I allow up to 30mins for a 1/2 leg wax include changing etc, Some clients I can be done in 20mins others it might be the full 30mins. I allow a 20min appointment for underarms but again it varies depending on the client.

1/2 hour per leg is far to long, but if you are newly qualified with not much practice then you will get quicker with time .

I was very, very slow at waxing when I first started at college & I always used to go way over my timings but when I started working in a spa and was fully booked with clients everyday I had no choice but to speed up !

Okay, yes this is too long what system are you using,ie roller wax or pot and spat?
Waxing is something that takes time to build speed up on.I use the Clean and Easy system. It's a very quick method of waxing.Though I dont use it on the face,bk or underarms.I use pot and spat method

Timings will vary on clients hair type and if the skin is dry this makes the waxing harder and adds to your times.

Hi not sure on your technique but this may help. To speed you up on legs, try covering the full front and either side as far as possible with wax then remove all rather than appling, removing, applying, removing this will be much quicker. usually takes a 5 minutes to do front and when you turn the client over you will find you should only be left with one little strip which will come off in no time. Hope this speeds you up

this is the way i do it and it really does speed things up.
however sometimes i find some of the wax hard to remove, is this because it has cooled too much before i apply the strip and whip it off?
it doesnt always happen so i cant fathom out what the problem is.

[just to explain, i am qualified to wax but dont do it commercially, only me and my daughters so i dont have a great deal of practice to build up my expertise]

It could be that it has been too long from the wax being applied (for that particular brand) to removal. I am trying to bring my timings down at the moment and trying different brands to find the one that works best for me.

For ha;f legs and under arms, try to aim for 30 mins. You'll get there in the end. xx
