:hug:HAS ANYONE A RECIPIE OF BUTTERMILK BREAKFAST PANCAKES THAT THEY SELL IN USA- I HAD THESE IN NEW YORK AND CANNOT GET THE RECIPIE CORRECT XXX:hug:
 
Ingredients

* 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 cup cake flour
* 2 1/2 cups buttermilk
* 2 eggs
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2 tablespoons sugar
* 1/4 cup canola oil

Directions

Preheat griddle.

Mix dry ingredients together.
3.
Separate eggs and save the egg whites.
4.
Mix wet ingredients with egg yolks.
5.
Whip egg whites.
6.
Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients.
7.
Fold egg whites into batter.
8.
Use 1/3 cup measure to ladle batter onto griddle.
9.
Flip when the edges are dry.

What is buttermilk and where do you get it from? Theres loads of receipes I have seen with it in that I want to make and cant find it anywhere!

It is the liquid left after churning butter from the milk. It doesn't taste nice as it is, but is delicious when incorporated in baking. You should be able to get it in a large supermarket.
 
I always get mine from Tesco. Asda dont stock it up here

THIS INCLUDES - NEW YORK STACKED BUTTERMILK PANCAKES, TRIED THEM THIS MORNING ABSOLUTELY LOVELYAND WORKED OUT ONLY ABOUT 6 1/2 POINTS ON WEIGHT WATCHERS FOR THE WHOLE MIX XX:hug:
