ways to raise money for charity....what would you do?

.................ok so you've picked a charity...

NOW your have to decide WHAT to do to raise the money.

Your a Nail technician AND a beauty therapist what would you do/have you done to raise money?

I thought of a NAILATHON.....a week/weekend full of nails 50% going to charity.

Or a sponsored back wax ( limited earnings though)?


Anyone got any good inspirational ideas?

raffel...? sell tickets at school or somewhere and then have a 1st prize (full set) 2nd prize (leg wax) and 3rd prize (treatment worth £10) ....???

I think if it were me i would look at which treatments are most popular and then over a course of a week / 2 week take 25% of monies taken.

Of course if you do a good mixture of treatments you could always donate 20% of all treatments carries out over a monthly period.

Thinking about it there is quite a lot of ways in which you could raise funds.

Is this something you are concidering doing amb?

I am taking part in a Loros charity in July, I have donated for a £20 nail service of their choice...on the day I am having a table doing nail art for children, eg: stickers, gems..
Also anyone who books a service £20 on the day and keeps the app I will donate £5 to the charity... I am thinking of doing a demo nail as well

I have just done this, my sons school needed a raffle prize so I am doing a manicure and pedicure, as a prize and it is good advertising.

owww good idea ruth !!lol when i was at college training 4 men came in for this on red nose day..they were brilliant just screamed alot :lol: but it was all for charity & a good cause i think the sponser money went to cancer research. ..a WAXATHON ...line em up i like the idea of a raffle ...a full set of sculptured p&w as 1st prize a full body massage as 2nd and a facial as 3rd.
