Hi all

Can anyone advise as what to take to my first Wedding Fayre?

I am planning on doing a nail and wedding make up portfolio, business cards and price lists, nice table cloth, vase of flowers, money off voucher leaflets, my nail stuff of course.......

Any ideas as to anything else? Its all new to me and I would like to make an impression - a good one preferably.....

Thank you! :)

Maybe take a model along of whose nails and make-up you've done maybe one hand before one after do a make-up demo? Offer something free or 10% off if they book a trial with you there and then good luck i'm looking at doing a few this year. you could do a raffle where someone will win a free makeup for wedding no one has to win but its a way of getting peoples numbers so you can ring them to see if they are interested in your services.x

models to work on and also why not consider a prize draw? i do 5-6 wedding fairs a year and use prize draws to collect information so that i can send them money off vouchers etc. I normally offer a prize draw of a tiara or makeup for the bride etcf and the prize draw is not per show, its per year.

I am a nail tech, beuaty therapist and also make tiaras and cake toppers and sell favour bags etc, so i vary my prize offer. You can decide what you are prepared to give away but dont go too mad.

The other thing i use wedding fairs for is to make contacts. go round the stalls with your cards, offer to take theirs and chat to people, I have strong links with every manner of wedding supplier and get LOTS of business through them and they do through me.

Best of luck and enjoy it!

I have been contacted by a venue that is doing a wedding fayre in March, the lady left a message on my phone asking if I would be interesting in having a stand doing my hair & beauty, I am very interested and a little nervous as I haven't done one before or come to that done may weddings before, but I would love to take this opportunity.

Before I ring her back tomorrow I was just wondering what questions I should ask her and how much I should be looking to pay for the stand?

Any advice would be much appreciated:)
