Hi there,
i wonder if anyone can help please?!
After years of doing peoples hair and make up for free i finally decided to make it official and am now up and running as a beauty therapist. My question is for Bridal make up, i know alot of work comes through word of mouth but i have already approached photographers with cards etc. Does any body else have any tips on how to advertise your services that really work?

Also there are alot of Wedding Fahres coming local to me. Could any body tell me what i need to take along to these, i have cards and flyers but i have never been to one so dont really know!!! I am also qualified in eyelash extensions with Lash Perfect, could you demonstrate that at these places?
Many thanks for reading!!

Hi Lipstick, Can I just ask for some clarification please? Are you a qualified beauty therapist or are you qualified in hair, make-up and lashes? There is a difference as it affects the public liability insurance you have and the way you advertise.

Wedding fayers can be hugely expensive .... I believe anything from £100 to £200.

Hello again,

I qualified at a fast track beauty school and did modules one by one (all recogised by BABTAC) so i guess i call myself a beauty therapist. I am fully certified in all the usual waxing, eyelash/brow tinting perming, manicure and pedicure, make-up, eyelash extensions. I then did a special occasion short course for hair in London. But i am not hairdresser.

I want to concentrate on mainly the make up and eyelash side of things if i can, that is what i would like to promote at the fayres etc but do you think the money they want is not worth going along to them.

I have a local photographer interested in doing makeovers in her premasis, i presume my insurance would cover that?
Hope this help and thank you for replying!
