Hi there, i am wanting to expand the makeup side of my mobile beauty business, but where do prospective clients look when they want this sort of thing?????
regards Di...
as well as thoes too excellent ideas have a look in to your local hairdressers that do bridal hair but have no beauty/make up and also you could conatact local hotals and other wedding venues and ask for your price list to be included in there info pack car and photo companys do it as long as they dont have there own beauty team they wont say no.
And as a last thing you could look in to free advertising on web sites like thompson or if your budget allowa busines/yellow pages
I posted the following in your other thread hun. This was my reply in case you missed it.
Go into google and type in 'Bridal Make-up' or 'Bridal Make-up Artists' or 'Wedding Services' etc....... Loads of stuff comes up and this is where people look.
Also Yellow Pages and Yell. com. Make-up artists also advertise in Hair Salons, local gyms or hotels which provide wedding venues but don't have on site beauty facilities.
I got the majority of my clients from wedding fayres, I did what cathill said ~ took a diary and had so many bookings. I still have those clients whom I now offer beauty treatments (massage etc) as well as nail enhancements. I have clients which cover a wide area because I have expanded through word of mouth from the original brides.
type in google wedding fayres for your area it will give you a list of all the hotels that are holding them get in touch with the venu and ask about hiring a table or space at the fayre they will be able to give you all the details go to one befor you do your pitch to get an idea of what other companys are doing and what people are expecting. go onto hitched .com i advertised free with them and got loads of leads.
