Wella colour choice

Hello, I have a client who’s wanting to achieve this violet colour. We are going down the full head highlights route and then maybe darkening the root back down with a root smudge toner (or leaving them lighter as it’s mainly the purple colour she’s liking). I’m just wondering which toner you would go for to achieve the purple colour? Assuming the highlights will lift up with a yellow undertone.

With a pale lilac/purple, you’ll need to lift to a 10 ideally, then tone out the yellow, THEN apply your target colour.

If you don’t do this, you’ll lose a lot of the intensity of the purple.

There are loads of good ranges to choose from but I do like the Guy Tangs Mydentity range.
Dusty Lavender, Midnight Violet and Silver Pearl. You can mix them to create just the right tone.

Okay, so that’s probably not achievable first time then! So I’ll just try get her as light as possible first.. we used to tone with wella colour touch 7/86 + 10/6 .. just wondering if there’s anything I could add to make it go a little purpley? I guess it won’t have the vibrancy though, if it’s not lifted to a level 10?

I’ll attach a photo of her hair back in November. Seems to have got a a bit duller now.

9/86 colour touch, I've find it to be very pigmented, it's definitely blue violet.
Your other option is wella colour fresh create. Pretone with 10/6 CT and then dilute the pure violet.
