Hi,

I have some questions on Wella colours, (I normally work with Loreal).

Can Koleston Perfect and Intense Reds be used on the scalp?

Can you use 12% with Koleston perfect on the scalp?

How many shades will Koleston Perfect Special Blondes lift?

Any help would be great!

Thanks :)

i did train with wella but that was a long time ago and havent really used them since, but as for the 12% on the scalp, this should only be used on off the scalp procedures for the risk of scalp burns, although i know professionals push this for co workers and family, but its not something i would do :)

Hi, yes I agree too , I must admit I have used 12% on my own hair and scalp
but I would rather not use it on a clients scalp ,

if I cant get the lift I want with 9%
I usually swap over to a blue Gel oil product specially made for on the
scalp lifting with 6%
its called proclere blue oil bleach
as this gets a much better lift and doesnt itch or burn at all on the scalp

they also have lovely toners that are specially made for afterwards ,
and you dont have to worry about burning the cleints scalp ,

it gives an incredible lift too

id say unless the hair is very fine or naturally fair( 8-9) then realistacally you will probably get 3-4 shades lift with 12% ( not recommended for scalp) and with 9% about 2-3 thats the special blondes. im not sure about the intense shades , i guess it can be done but id be worried about root glow so would probably do midlengths and ends first with a higher peroxide ( unless it was lighter or naff hair)
