I purchased a pedicure whale spa last year in March to be excact, for those of you who dont know what they are they're american style pedicure chairs that massage you etc, anyways iv noticed that the basin of the footspa has started to crack all over so i rang the company i bought it of and they said all they could do is give me a new basin as it had only 1 year waranty, it'l cost me approx €400/€500 for a plumber to fix it all up for me again has this happened to anyone or any sugestions?? xx:|

Hey Tor,

The problem that you've encountered is typical of having a chair made of fiberglass based materials (which most spa chair manufacturers make their spa chairs with). There is are products in most US hardware stores that can "fix" cracked fiberglass basins, I think one of them is called Lo-Weld but the fix itself makes the chair look terrible but functional.
Hence, on your next purchase you should really look into chair made of a much better material and although its more money, it will last much longer. Chairs made by a company called AmeriSpa uses such materials. As a great option offered by them, you can even order cushions separately down the line for replacing your old and tired out cushions and not have to buy another new chair! Thus, being able to order cushions separately as the salon changes makes it economically appealing option as well! I hope this helps with your ordeal- and always remember, cheaper is most definitely not always better........
