I'm doing some coursework on Ethnic Variations In Skin Types and its telling me to describe how you would recognise the skin characterisitics to mixed race skin.

So far iv'e put:
Mixed race skin generally ages at a much slower rate then white skin. this is mainly due to the extra protection provided by melanin, which not only screens out UV but also abosorbs free radicals.

i can't think what else to put though..

HELP needed please! :)

Hi there, they would usually have oily skin due to their sebaceous glands being more active, this helps slow down the appearance of ageing hth

Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. Skin damage as minor as a scratch or a pimple triggers excess melanin production and results in dark patches. Without prompt attention, the marks can last for months and even years before they fade.
[*]Postinflammatory hypopigmentation. Burns or other skin trauma leaves lighter areas as unwelcome reminders.
[*]Keloids. Injuries leave behind large, raised scars.

I dont want to do your work for you as I think it's important we do our own research. There's plenty of info on ethnic skin via google. Here is another site though.Hth
