Just started to do Gels and have chosen NSI products to work with just wondering what all your geeky opinions were of the products good/not so good? im finding the gel keeps cracking after a few days although that could be down to me!!

i use the nsi gel and no trouble so far (am only training though!:)). i tend to use it on toes and no cracking (less wear i think).......is the application too thick?

I have used NSI in past. Should not really be cracking. If you have just applied thin flat coats it may crack. Also if you are filing into the sides of the nail you are also weakening the structure. Maybe this is why it is cracking

At Nails Inc where I work - we use Nail Solutions Simply Nails Gel. This works a treat. It is medium consistency..mmmmnn nice.

At home I tend to still use it - but also use IBD Col Gel.

Hi - i use nsi and love it. Cracking - in my experience - happened when i didn't apply enough. If you contact NSI - 0500 131 009 they'll send you their latest DVD and then you can watch the gel application to get an idea of how much product you should be using. Helped me out no end!! xx

thanks guys!! x x

Sorry but can I just ask, when you say you have just started to do gel, and have chosen NSI products..have you actually done the training with NSI?

I only ask because the educators are great and I'm sure if you called your educator and explained the problem, she would be happy to help.

I use NSI balance gel and had problems in the beginning because i was over filing the side walls and removing too much of the gel on finishing.

Oh and Gemsie is right, the DVD is a great help.

Good luck and feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

Thanks ive got the video i might do a training course i trained in acrylic but gel is totally different as im finding out think your all right i need to go on a training day...

have you got the most recent dvd Gemsie and Stoney mentioned? its called beyond the basics. Its much better than the 1st dvd.

I also use NSI products; Balance Gel & Attraction L&P.

I was only trained in L&P when I converted to NSI and I also wanted to introduce gel to my clients, so I was advised to go on the gel workshop rather than the conversion course. It may be worth giving NSI a call and talking through your needs; they will be able to advise you wether you need to go on a conversion or a workshop course (I think this depends on your experience level?!?).

Ive been happy using NSI and I always feel like a valued customer.

I use attraction l &p so not much help with the gel !!!!....but i do love the nsi acrylic ....hth xx
