What colours are most popular????

Hello Geeks

Just wondering how many polishes you all have to offer customers?? and what colours do you find are really popular? Not sure how many to have as I'am just starting out in nails. Any advice would be great. Also how much do you all charge for mani's and pedi's?

I work in a salon so I can't really comment on the amount if you are mobile, but I have found that different shades of reds, browns and naturals are very popular for the hands
People tend to go a lil more wild with their feet, going for bright colours like pinks, reds.

I have over 100 and stock every range of colour with a few in each range for the clients to choose from,
as for prices you would be best to go around the salons in your area and ask for price lists,
this way you will know the prices for your area,
every area has different price ranges, hth :hug:

In my opinion it would depend on who you expect your client base to be.

You will obviously get all the usual pinks and reds, white for french etc.

But you wouldnt want to buy neon colours if your main client base is expected to be older/professional women, but if you expect a young school age client base, neons would possibly go down well.

I think just start with a good variety and see whats popular with your clients, and then build up your collection based on what seems popular.

im finding dark colours are most popular at the mo, i stack all of the attitudes by star nails range, ialso stock opi and sinful. Being mobile i'd say maybe start out light, try a couple of brands, see what works for you and maybe ask clients when booking what sort of colour they have in mind,sounds ad but will let you be a bit more prepared! oh and get some bright pink, i love toma and sinful pinks, the summer and holidays are coming lol

As a salon owner I stock almost all of the CND range colours along with a large range of Minx and all the gel and powder colours and shimmers for nail colouring and covering.

However, I understand when someone is first starting out or works on their own either in desk rental or mobile, they need to have a simplified range for cost and logistical reasons.

I would suggest your 'French' colours obviously and then a pale and a deep pink, a pale and a deep coral, a pale and a deep red, a pale and a deep brown, something very sparkly and something very dark.
