hey geeks.....

Ok i was going to book on to the sept course with cnd, but saw you need to be their in harrow by 10! I have a daughter who attends school part time till oct 9th, as well as my one yr old son.
I phoned cnd yesterday to ask would it be ok to arrive about 11 because of this but the lady explained that just was not possible because of the amount of things ill miss out on.
So now im running around trying to find someone to have my daughter and take her too school...
I think i have a friend who can have my son all day so that not an issue... its just my daughter and the inly idea left is to find a childminder who can drive and drop her their so she can be taken to school and then collected to then be dropped with my friend for me to collect from their. but omg what a night mare.....

Any one else had any issues like this with maybe being later than 10???

Some people may disagree with this and altho not ideal I personally dont think its the end of the world (I would do it if I had to...some things cant be avoided!) but could your little girl have a day off school and stay with your friend for the day too?

I agree with Anna....I am a stickler for sending my kids school....they nearly always have 100% attendence...but i don't think it would do any harm for your daughter to have 1 day off if it makes things easier for you...xx

my girls school has a care centre attatched, where you can take them at 8am and they can go there after school too, have you nothing like this ?

thing is she is just strarting reception so to beguin with shes going mornings only till 6th oct then full time, but yes they do a morning thing their starting at 8 your right that is something i hadnt thought of.

I think im gonna just have to hold out for my nail course till she has settled in at school and is full time and then i could probably get her to go to the breakfast club.

Thanks guys!!

Oh dont take her out of school hun. It sets them up for Year one and they learn so much!!
I know how you feel. I didnt have anyone to look after mine when i started Level 1.I got my time table and thought oh no! The times were rubbish. My neighbour offered to have him for me and then made up some excuse 6 weeks later of me being into the course
( my reason for not being a fan of relying on people) and said tht she had started work.
I had to put him in breakfast club and after school club and felt really bad for doing it.But what can you do!
So maybe try and see what the school offers you hun.
I have the same problem this year as my level 3 is from 9am until 9 pm on one of the days.
How do these colleges expect you to do it. It makes me soooooooooo cross!!!!!!!!!
xxx

Its not a nightmare hun. Sometimes you just have to juggle things and in the end it it works out.

Goodluck.

I would ask your friend to look after them both for the day.

If she is just starting reception class it will be a bit much for her to start breakfast club as well. I only started the Jackster at breakfast club when he was 7 and still felt crappola for doing it, he only went once a week for a few months AND went with a friend.

Taking a child out of school for ONE day is hardly gonna hurt anyone!
I know its hard when you have to try and juggle children but the colleges cant please everyone can they.

I agree with Anna, its 1 day! My kids have missed days here and there because of my courses, but needs must, and Im trying to provide a better future for them both! They are both in Primary School, so its not as if Im taking them out just before GCSE's or anything like that!

I would ask your friend to have both kids for the day!

xxxxx:hug:
