Yeah, depending on your answer to the first reply, it could go either way. I personally choose not to work on them. However, my pedicure instructor is a level 4 pedologist with a university degree. so she does.
well if we take a look at pampermepinks profile we'll see she is a trained tech using opi among others. ... so she will know the anatomy and likelyhood of pathogenic infections
(hopefully...)
in answer to your question:
it is up to the individual - and insurance requirements as to wether treatment is performed on a client with warts/ fungal infection.
remember both are easily transmitted and if you are not 100% sure of how to deal with it, then you are right mad to try....
Depending on where the wart is I can choose to work around/avoid area (wearing gloves to minimize my chances of contact) or decline service until wart is gone and with fungus...no chance of working on. Because I took trainging in both esthetics and nail technology our instuctor beat it into us (figuritively of course lol) to decline service and advise that they seek treatment to have cleared up by doctor. Where I live we are not allowed to diagnose or treat to all we can to is advise products that will help with nail "issues". Hope this helps =)
