To get extra business I visit car boots and hand out leaflets, but when I ask if they are interested some people say Ive got no nails or my nails are horrible and walk off.

What can I say in the few seconds I've got their attention to convince them that its not the case.

I find that many people aviod having treatments because they feel embarrassed about their nails or think they need perfect nails to begin with. Does anyone else notice that?

Thanks

Hi,
I had some one say that to me, ok it wasn't a prospective client but I had my mobile with me and said can I just show you something. I had a photo of my husbands very bitten nails they where in a terrible state, I then showed them an after photo of what his nails now look like after a few treatments, it seem to work as she now comes to me for regular manicures. Which as I am still training just cover costs. It might work for you.

isn't it funny, if they had beautiful nails, they wouldn't need us, its the ones that have bitten down nails, weak nails, nails that they want to hide that SHOULD be coming to us.

Your right you do only have a couple of seconds to strike,.. so to speak, so make sure your nails are in tip top shape as you can bet they will glance at yours.

Ok, Can You Put A Before And After Pic On Your Leaflets.

The Persons Says "i Have No Nails" Before They Walk Off Quickly Say What If I Could Give You Lovely Long Nails Within 3 Weeks.

She What The Reaction Is Then

I would start it on the opposite way... usually people around me notice my nails as they are long and rather extreme, and then I tell them *I can easily do a little something for yours, show me your hands* and they show and sometimes they're like *oooh but I bit my nails* or whatever... so I give them my # and they do call and come.

I know what you mean and i found the best way to maybe get them to think about having their nails done is to make sure my nails are tip top, so when they comment on them, i tell them i used to bite mine up to my elbows but now have nails thanks to what i do with them. This usually intrigues them to phone me and have a chat.

Ive had just the same, as im just starting out ive emailed everyone i can think of and at least 3 have emailed back saying, they cant have them cause there nails are a mess!!

When people say this to me (yes it hapens often:lol:) I answer with...
'Would you go to the hairdressers if you didn't need or want something doing to your hair?'
It gets them thinking for an answer and while they do that I whip out my before and after pics.

xx:hug:xx
