hi guys

well as some of you may no i am leaving collage on WEDNESDAY!! after completing my L2 Beauty,:lol:

i have really enjoyed my training and can not wait till september to continue on my body massage course

although i will greatly miss my tutors on fellow students i am really excited to being that wee bit closer to the start of career and ive been thinking what i want to do when all my training is complete

at the moment i want to be mobile but in the next 10 years it is my dream to own my own very sucessfull salon

so my question is how far have you guys come since starting out ?? what do you hope to acomplish in the foreseable future ?? and if you are a newbie to this world like myself what are your next steps ??

Well done on completing your training and wishing all the very best of success in this wonderful industry

I went straight from college to do mobile work. I had a few interviews at salons and did a few weeks work before deciding I didn't want to work in a salon I wanted to work in a spa.
I was temping at a local spa and got offered a job there for 25 hours a week as someone was leaving.
So I am now doing this (which I totally love) as well as my mobile clients.
Mobile work is hard work and you will realise this when you start doing it. If you like working for yourself and are enthusiastic enough to get out there and advertise then you will be fine. Us mobile geeks have quiet times, it's not busy all year through. This is why I like to have a guaranteed wage. Any extra from mobile work is a bonus.
I would say if you can add spray tanning to your menu then you are laughing.

I would love to have my own salon one day. But hey I have still heap loads to learn first.

Good luck with it hun xxx

its great to see that you got stuck straight in working for yourself, i hope i enjoy it as much as you do :) i love the idea of working for myself which is why mobile is appealing to me although i do love having collegues to have a good chat with but i will still get this from my clients so it seems to be a win win all round xxx

I really believe that its a good idea after training to spend a few years working alongside others with more experience than you. The training you have is only the first steps of your career, and its healthy to have some experience and confidence before striking out alone.
