Hi - I am wondering if anyone can help me?
I lease a salon and am not doing very well with the beauty and nails at the mo so am looking to rent both my nail desk and beauty room out, BUT!! I have no idea what to charge!

I already rent the front part of the shop to a hairdresser 5 days a week for a flat rate including bills etc. So if anyone can give me an idea of whats fair for nails desk and/or beauty room and perhaps what you pay to make sure I dont over charge!!

Thanks geeks xxx:)

well it depends on what is included...

ie the products...
"the clients" like if they can work on the clients you have but not free on the days you work or something,
who answers the phone...
all that.

Well I can tell you this much ... if you want to keep a nail technician there in the space you want to rent, then just charge a straight forward rent and nothing else. Let the person build a business there for themselves and you will keep them and get your money regularly. If you start wanting commission on their work and their seervices and their retail etc ... you will loose them. Be content with a straight forward rent per week and leave it at that.

A nail tech takes up about 8 square feet of space. You will get more than that is worth in your rent.
