What is Encapsulation?

Please, I really wanted to know what Encapsulation is, and how it's made.

It is a term used for when we encapsulate some item into acrylic on the nail hth

i CAN not believe that you are the 1st person to discuss this... this must be fairly new to some people ... i was surprised.

encapsulation is also referred to as the water globe...if you will...

when i and my class did one the other day we used clear tips... 1, the size of the nail it will be placed on and the other, 2sizes smaller so that it fits facing the other tip, in opposite direction,,,so that it forms a bubble... then you seal the sides and bottom with gell... i suggest a clear gel, simply because it's cleaner and clearer... then you fill the inside with glitter or rhinestones..or pictures.. or trinkets.. along with water then you seal the other end. and it forms this water globe. or encapsulation

Hmmm not sure about that one I prefer to encapsulate confetti and bullion in gel or l&p - more embedded.

I prefer solid embedded encapsulation too but couldn't find much on Google Images. Upon searching again however, I came upon this, which I think is our very own Noticable Nails

Web definition (modified) of encapsulated - An item which has been sealed inside a "sandwich" of two sheets of clear glass

This would be the same as encapsulating something in acrylic. Place a layer of acrylic on the nail as normal then place the item to be 'encapsulated' on this layer (dot of glue to keep in place if needed) then apply another layer of acrylic over the top to seal. Finish as you would normally.

Hi vics encapsulation is were you seal in gems,crushed shells,glitter etc in your work you do this really well using a strong clear gel . It is i think simplest to do using sculpts some companys offer training in encapsulted sculpting within there course scedules or as work shops its loads of fun and clients love it

Noticable Nails is so damn talented! I love to embedd but she just takes the biscuit absolutely beautiful nails much better than the others.
