and is there anything i should be aware of when applying it. I have a friend who is letting me practice on her over the weekend (my CND exams are on Tuesday ) but she is a nailbiter, told here that more than likely i'll mess them up because at the moment, im barely getting the hang of it working on normal healthy nails! but she doesnt really mind but id like to do as good a job as i can. Thank god i have some normal nails to practice on this weekend too!

I have read tipping a bitten nail on the tutorial but not sure i completely understand it i suppose until i try and put it into practice.

Cheers

Formation tips are the recommended CND tips for nail biters as they have a full well which you can pre-tailor to fit.

It does take practice but so worth it to see your clients face when you give her a full set of beautiful nails.

Try practicing on a finger made up of a roll of blu-tac. Push in a really short nail to look like a nail biter and then push it down so you end up with that bump of skin nail biters have instead of a free edge. try different sizes and varying 'bumps' to get plenty of practice

hope this helps

I also think CND Velocity tips work just fine on nail biters.

I do like a tip with a wel,l for biters. Ive never been a lover of the Formation tip myself. Formation is the classic parallel sided square tip ... to me short, parallel sides and square does not suit a bitten nail and can make it look squat where as Velocity has tapered side walls which make a bitten nail look more sleek and attractive.

Gel Bond adhesive is a must and plenty of it .. wipe off excess, but with the absence of any free edge on a bitten nail, Gel Bond will fill in the rough areas and cushion the tip like a shock absorber for longevity.

great thanks a million, i actually got some of those velocity tips in CND starter kit so i'll give them a god when im doing the nails tonight, thanks very much.:)
