As Fee said, i just use a make up sponge, roll It over the nails then dab where the colours join if it needs more blending. It's so easy to do and I get lots of comments on them. If you paint the nail either white or the bottom colour first it makes it a bit easier if you get me. x

Could you do this with shellac do you think?wondering if there's another way of doing it?as I don't wanna waste alot of product.Xx

To be honest I use alot less polish this way than ordinary polishing as a couple of strokes of varnish on the sponge does my whole hand.
I know people do ombré with gelish so I'm guessing You might be able to do it with shellac. But I'm not trained in either so can't say for definite. x

Layla Soft Touch Black with a standard black polish tip.. Divine Emerald with Ocean Rush. Coral Glam with Red Taboo.
 
A makeup sponge works lovely :)
And any polish is fine, but one that isn't too sheer works best x

How did u get the black line so thin at the bottom? Yours look absolutely fab!!!
