Using foil is so easy. After the second colour coat has cured place foil on top, rub it in a bit and then pull strip off. I sometimes find I just need to lie the foil on the nail and pull straight off, no need to rub. Then top coat and cure xx

Yes just dab it on to get that distressed look. After the second coat has been cured so it just sticks.
