Just wondering guys as before I was a tech I would pop some remover in to thin it out but don't want to do something that isn't professional. Thanks for feedback x

Now its gonna seem like I am stalking you...lol, but I am just going through the new threads and so we meet again!!!!

Anyway back to the question, I find it really helps to keep varnishes refridgerated, I always keep mine in a box in the fridge when I am not using them, they are always lovely and fluid then.

Ah thanks for the tip hun x

A tip from Geeg, is.........to put a couple of drops of Stickey into the enamel, and it should loosen it back up again.

I use Creative polishes exclusively now and I have to say, I have never had one go gloopy - mine are kept on the shelf in my home salon HTH:)

I have been using OPI though rather than Creative

I only use Creative and as a rule of thumb they dont go glupy.. but I have had one or two of my regular polishes go a bit thick.. so I just add a few drops of the same colour out of a new bottle and it seems to thin it out again.

Not tried the 'Sticky' tip from Geeg .. might give that a go next time... :)

Don't suppose I could use Sticky in OPI varnish could I ?

I don't know TBH but do you know it would be cheaper to buy Creative polishes rather than OPI at Sally's.

I bought a few at first but when clients wanted to order them, they weren't always available.

At my local Sallys in Mansfield they do not do any Creative stuff at all, my nearest please is Ellisons in Leicester which is miles away!

I use OPI - I don't really have a problem with them going thick at all except sometimes with the Alpine Snow.

Try adding a few drops of OPI nail lacquer thinner - you should only use a thinner recommended for the products you use - and NEVER nail varnish remover!

i have seche vite thinners, i'm going to use this to thin out my gloopy nail varnishes, thg:)

Ive got to say the only CND enamels that have gone thick on me are the white ones, they are open for the longer amount of time + they have chalk in, sp there ya go! I have put a few drops of stickey into my Creme Puff, it was almost to the bottom, but those few drops helped me through to use the whole lot of it!

Also not sure about putting stickey in OPI, I dont use it so cant comment!

I use CND and have never had an enamel go gloopy, except for cream puff (the white for french mani's), and I was told that this is a problem with any white enamel because of the higher amount of pigmentation in it.

I have bought a couple of other bottles from other brands, but they have all gone in the bin having gone gloopy about halfway through, so I think its a bit of a false economy to buy other brands.

You can order over the phone with Sweet Squared and I dont think the delivery charge is unreasonable from what I can remember.

hi ya,
ive worked in both opi and creative salons and to be honest found creative worse for this....
thats why my salon is now opi!
they retail a laquer thinner that is great with all polishes, and nail art paints....as i find they get thicker the more they are used as the polish in the bottle dries slightly each time you open.....which is prob y whites dry quicker.....as they r opened more!!!!
just a thought!
xxxxxx
