Hi everyone,
Im just new to spray tanning can i ask wot % & what solution to use on body buiders or a dance school under 13's please help ;)

We have a client who body builds and has just started to do the competitions. We used Tandare 18% and we sprayed him twice over two days and he was really dark! I must remember to ask him for a comp pic that I can put on our website! :D

I agree...body builders do like to be drenched in the stuff...tow or three times immediately running up to a competition...the higher the DHA concentrate, the higher the initial colour guide and the darker the tan suits them down to the ground.

The darker the better.....remember there standing up on the stage under intense bright lights and need a solution that can compensate and exaggerate the body's contours.
Indeed in the U.S spray tan body contouring is hugely popular as if done correctly can accentuate and help exaggerate muscle tissue bulges.

There's a mixed bag of the way therapists approach this which in the main stems back to what was taught during initial training.
Some do one coat, some two and my preferred is one main coat with a general misting over..particularly to areas where the client may want things a tad darker...legs,face etc.

Either way whichever suits your style can work

also, some companies do booster drops so if u have in stock a 16% say u can easy make it up to a 18 .. to be honest ive only ever put 3 drops in an 16% thus suposedly making it a 19% it did go very dark but did spray twice... the dance teacher told her the darker the better..... has anyone else tried these x i know of only 3 at the mo.... nouvatan - tan truth and angel ...

Hi Elisa

I am trying to find a competition tan. I know you say you added booster drops to the 16%. I have spoke to Dawn and I am sure (dont quote me lol) that she said that 5 drops take it up 1% so if you only added 3 drops, that would make it just over 16.5%? I wsa just wondering on the photo you have on your facebook site, is the photo without any other bronzer on? ie powder or cream and could you also tell me did you spray her just the once or did you double dip her? I am just wondering how I could work this if I offered double dipping. It seems like the logical thing to do, but would not be cost effective. do you offer the dancers a special offer?

Is there anywhere in the UK I can learn body contouring? I have been looking for a while now to go on a course for this:D

Hi a few years ago I had three men who came for spray tans. I used to go 16% all over, the other 12% all over but the third I used 12% over the whole body and then used an airbrush 16% on muscel tones. They were really pleased and looked fab, but its down to your clients requirements.
