I have been looking at the many different types of couch you can buy and now I'm confused about what the best couch is. Would you recomend paying out for an electric/hydraulic one or would a static one be more than sufficent. We used only electric ones at college but I'm not sure if they are really necessary?

What are people's opintion?

What will you be using it for where would you be using it and what is your budget !

It would be for a small salon for massage, facials etc with a couple of different therapists using them (so potentially different heights). I don't really have a budget just have to justify the expense. My personal prefrence is the wooden fixed height ones as they look nicer but with more than one user I'm not sure it would be the most suitable!

If you can afford it I would definitely get a hydraulic one. You can adjust it to whatever height you need, you won't need to worry about people having to climb on steps to get on it, your therapists are less likely to get back problems....There are all sorts of reasons why an adjustable couch is so much better. Speaking from experience, it's well worth the extra money. You don't really need an electric one, a hydraulic one is fine. You can alter the height really easily with a foot pedal, even with a heavy person on it.

Electric must be wonderful......mine is just your regular solid one with the head end that lifts up.

I wouldn't get a bed that has contures in it. When you're waxing, you really need their body to be flat. It makes it very difficult to wax a body when they are dipping into the curves of the bed. My bed is heavily padded but flat. xxx

cable tension with height adjustable wooden legs and a seperate face cradle is more than enough to do all of those treatments.

Hi, I bought a lightweight solid one with cable braces - but my room came with an electric lift one which I love! It can be uncomfortable being 6 ft 2 and bending over for hours!

Plus, I get to use the gag "Menswear? Third floor!" as its gliding upwards

I would defo buy one if I needed to and simply keep the portable one for mobile.

Depending on your budget i would pick an electric couch as it is so versatile, and would cater for so many different treatments.Being able to control it into a chair style makes it exquisite for the client for facials, however having it absolutely flat for waxing is definetely better.
