What would be your advise .....

I have been asked some advise by a friend regarding painting her fingernails. She says that she doesn't have a steady enough hand to paint them neatly and wanted some advise as to if she could put something round her skin eg. vaseline. I offered to paint them myself but she likes to change the colour all the time in her spare time....

which method would you suggest, if any?

I'd suggest she take up nails.

If she can't do a paint job acceptable to herself with say a woodstick to tidy up, she should go to a manicurist where she'd get it done professionally. If she prefers to do it herself so much, tell her to do a course.

Gigi says in her book nail class to use an old brush and nail fresh to clean around the nails i have tried this and it really works , but i would advise her to even just to do a nail art course if she wants to change her varnish that often :hug:
