Hi,
Im doing level 3 nails at college now, i did level 2 two years ago so that will be the last time i used wraps.
I never liked the finnish i was getting with it so i never did them since.Anyway iv got to start logging again and wraps {silk} is on the agenda!

can anyone suggest a good silk wrap system please, i dont like spray on activators really as they used to agravate my skin so i would prefer brush as i can stipple it more aswell into the silk.

Any tips most welcome x

It's too bad you hated them as wraps are absolutely beautiful when done well. Wraps also have a definite place in the industry so I would try to enjoy them if you can.

Geeg: I think its cos it fidly that got me plus i had just started at college so i panicked i think, i will probly have more patiance now to learn it. Iv read through some threads on here about wraps and it sounds like the Fabric" from creative was good but no longer available so thats a shame as i would like to keep to the same brand with using CND products already.
Where i live iv spoke about them and most people {younge} ones have never heard of the product so maybe its a good thing for me to find a good product and show them thanks for replying

Anyone else use the silk and which one would you recomend please?.

I would say that Back scratchers is the best known wrap system. It was certainly the first back in the 80's. But there are many around. They are all very similar ... but to find one with a brush on activator may take the longest. I do not know if Back scratchers have one.

If it is going to be a good system to work with then i would use it and make sure i dont got it on my skin, i think what happened to be honest when i was at college and all the class was using their spray it was all over as there wasnt alot of ventalation so thats probly what was iritating me. So i will have a look and see if they have a website as iv not seen scratchers before so i will have a read up.Thanks Geeg x

i used to use the star nails one and that had a brush on activator.

Backscratchers do an aerosol spray, very fine particles so no pitting and smells OK too.

Are backscratchers in the UK and do you have to train with them to buy there products? Iv just done a conversion with CND so i cant afford no more training at the minute. Where is Ezflow is that in the uk?

I'm doing wraps at college at the moment and using Ezflow. I have the spray on activatory and it is in a pump form. I have to say I don't really like it but can't compare it as I've never used any other.

I did get to go to the forum at Pro Beauty though and Elise (think that's right) was using backscratchers and the aerosol spray looked great. She only needed very tiny yets as the mist was so fine and there was no spitting and couldn't smell it either. I think if I didn't already have Ezflow, I would definitely try Backscratchers.

Im sure you have to do a conversion course, but if you contact Supernail, Backscratchers Distributor (0208 752 1924) they'd be able to help.

They didn't do one when I trained with them in 2003.

Zena, Millennium do a brush on activator and also a builder resin (thicker viscosity to build shape/apex), I've used it and have been happy with the results. The Edge do fibreglass but I'm unsure re the brush on activator.

hth's a bit

Hi thanks for all the replys, i will look for millenium products then on google and give them ago, thanks again x

I got a free conversion course when I bought a starter kit for the Backscratchers extreme glaze system so it would probably be the same for their wrap system. The starter kit wasn't expensive either so give them a call as this would probably be a very cost effective way of getting the extra training.

Cheers,
Hazel

BackScratchers have educators all over the UK, if you ring their head office they should put you in touch with your nearest educator/training centre.
