how often should you re-book a client for the next lightening visit?
Let's say theres a client who came in with a level 8 virgin hair and wants
to go golden yellow britney spears blonde but not platinum
and you were successfully able to lift the hair 2 levels.. when would there next visit be
between 2 weeks? 3 weeks? 1 month?

It’s really up to the client to decide how long they want to leave between appointments.
Obviously, it will also be dependent on how quickly their hair grows but you’ll need a good centimetre or so of root section to ensure you’re only applying tint or bleach to the regrowth area and not overlapping it.

However, if they’re naturally an 8, do you really need to lift it 2 levels?

Usually won't do anyones root under 4 weeks, as a general rule. Especially if I'm lightening the hair. But obviously it is different for every client. Ask her to pop in after 3 weeks so you can assess the regrowth and that way you should be able to gage how much longer she can go before needing a root touch up. Also if you want a really gold blonde a level 10 is probably too light.
