Where can I give out my business cards??

hi

just recieved my business cards from Vista print and was looking for a few ideas where to hand them out. Have given to family/friends etc and still have loads left. Going into town today to try a few shops but not sure whether they will take them? does anyone know if shops wil happily let you leave business cards on their counter?xxx

The only place I have given them out to so far is a chip shop they did not mind... I just got mine too from Vista they are really lovely. But I thought I would try Toddler Groups and Adventure in door plays or local hairdreeser that dont have nail tech in them. Just really where the mums hang out. I also maybe just in a few letter boxs or newsagents windows. Best of luck :hug:

Check all the local take aways sometimes they have pin boards for business cards, I have mine in some of the local takeaways and the post office has a board, anywhere people are going to be waiting in ques is good cause they like to read and even if they don't need your service there and then they will prob remember you. I also have mine in some of the hairdressers that don't do nails and I have their cards, kind of help each other out. Always keep plenty in your bag in case an opportunity arises. Good luck. Cx

Go round the local pubs and ask if you can leave some on the side in the ladies toilets also try leisure centres and leave in the changing rooms.

its also a good idea to see if there is any army / navy / or RAF bases near you. I live on an RAF base and they distribute newsletters / info books to married quarters so it reaches over 300 houses - not bad for a £5 ad! And its especially useful as the forces have a lot of balls, charity events etc and the officers wives in particular love a bit of pampering!!!

If there is one near you, you need to look out for the local HIVE info centre and pop in and have a word with the receptionist there. If you go on the MOD website they'r should be a list of locations etc.

Take them everywhere. talk to people in the toilets of clubs and bars etc. I give out more cards on a night out than anywhere else and always get call backs from them as the clients know how friendly and approachable you really are.

Go to networking groups and give them out there, and as Kelly says, never leave home without them!
Local gyms are good, toddler groups, nurseries, NCT groups, WI, church groups too!
Have a squint at my "more ways to promote your business" thread - it's all worked fantastically well for me and a few others here too!
