I qualified in vtct level 2 and vtct level 3 beauty therapy, taking the massage and electrical therapy routes at college, full time for 2 years. Whilst doing this I worked in a salon as a skivvy, then a junior therapist. I have also done 'branded' training for spray tanning, threading, and lash extensions. I loved college and learned loads. the only bit I felt 'let down' with was level 3 nail enhancements. Although we learned 3 systems, and had a full year of practising on clients, I felt the tutor just let you get on with it, and even though I passed the miilions of assesments needed as proof, I just didn't feel good enough. So much so, that I have dropped enhancements from my treatment menu altogether (6 years on), and just do natural nails, and most recently- shellac!! Hopefully, one day I will climb back on the wagon, sighhhhh xx

I did City and Guilds Beauty Therapy at college many moons ago, vtct nails and Reflexology. college for spray tanning and threading and about to do IBD just gel polish with the company :)

I feel exactly the same about my nails course and am seriously thinking of dropping it to concentrate on natural nails too :)

I did Beauty vtct 2 at Fatnborough college P/T (as I was a mature student :) ) I then went on to level 3, reflexology, Swedish body massage, aromatherapy, reiki all privately fully accredited. I have trained with 'brands' for facials, nails, tanning, lashing (which I hate!).

I did NVQ 2 in women's hair and Btec in beauty therapy and sciences and NVQ 3 in mens hair at colleges, but have had Matrix training which i always find really helpful but do find the more I learn with hair, the more there is to learn!
I did an advanced waxing course through professional choice but found it hasn't helped much so thinking of now learning with a system such as lycon, although would appreciate if the thoughts of other geeks on this and the kim lawless training.

Travelled down to Manchester for my spray tan training, & then my home town for my lash extension course x

Ive done my level 2 and 3 followed by my 2year HND at Telford college, then ive also done some branded training as well. xx

I started a full time IHBC Diploma at college in 1983. I thought the training was of a very high standard and I never had worries leaving and working straight on clients as we were very well prepared. There were on 10 on the course. I went on to do a further 2 years there as well. Whilst working I have also trained with various product companies.

I think the training side has suffered in some colleges over the years and with the flooding of one day courses for beginners has changed the beauty industry - I have seen this as I am in my fourth decade of receiving training. However with more people being aware of good education, I hope this trend will reverse. We need companies like CND who champion the professional and well trained college lecturers teaching high level qualifications who will raise this industry to the level clients and therapists deserve.

I trained at college about 20 years ago, ITEC Diplomas in Physiatrics, Electrolysis (hated that) and Aestheticienne - 1 year course. Loved it, good background, but I think things have moved on a lot since then!

I trained at all 3 of the options!
