Where do you get your inspiration??

I am just wondering because every issue of scratch I see I find amazing nails!! I see Sam Biddle doing nails and I think "I want to be like her" not to mention all the rest but I am really inspired by you all. I love looking at your pics and when I talk to family and friends I see their eyes glaze over and I wonder "why are you not as addicted as me?" I never thought about nails till i stumbled over it by accident and am so glad i did. As far as Im concerned they are missing out on something huge!! So what and who inspires your work???

I know what you mean Stevie, I am constantly looking at people's nails out and about, in magazines and on the tv especially, I'm quite sad, in fact even my daughter does it now. If she sees someone that bites her nails she will say to me "Oh mum, did you see her nails? " :lol: She is only 11.

As for your question, I get my inspiration from the above and looking at nails that the very talented people in our industry do, and like you, I think I want to be able to do that. I quite often think when I am driving or doing the housework, what I could be doing on nails, reading that back I think I am obsessed!

There are so many talented techs out there nowadays.
I too love Sam Biddle, I only started doing 3d work last December after attending a design seminar where Sam was showing us techniques, she inspired me to get home and give it a bash, she also set us a challenge with the entries being put on her website, my first ever attempt and I came second. If it wasnt for that opportunity I dont think I would have gone on to place in more competitions.
I love Gigi too she is an amazing talented and inspirational woman who's Nailclass BIBLE has helped me out no end.
My god there are so many. Before I entered this industry I was always bored in my work I hated it, now I love it! I got into the industry by accident and now that I am here Im never gonna leave, every day I get up and think right what can I create today? I drive everyone mad going on about it too but thats their problem not mine.
When I started I found Carls (nailzoo) videos on you tube a great help, he too is an inspiration and his videos are excellent in everyway.
The geeks! they inspire me I am so grateful for The Head cheese creating this site and for being told about it by a fellow geek. This site has some amazing techs on it and I cant list them all as there is too many.
Everyday I am more amazed at what we can do, and achieve in our chosen line of profession.
Scratch mag also gives me loads of inspiration too.
Also Sweet Squared they are the best! I have never felt so much Love and support from a company before I know that if I have a problem I can ring and receive the information that I need.
Im sorry if I went off on a bit of a tangent. But its something I am very passionate about.
I feel that if it wasnt for Salon geek I wouldn't be where I am today.
