I currently use Calgel and although i found some problems with it to start I am getting there with it. I still have loads of clients asking me for Acrylics and was thinking of offering both. First do you think it's a good idea to do both and secondly which Acrylic course do you recommend? I'm based in Scotland so prefereably a course near me? Any suggestions would be great x

I was (and still am lol) a confident fibreglass and Brisa gel user, I did my L+P conversion to Creative in April and find that it's better to be able to offer all 3 systems, so I would definitely recommend doing an L+P conversion.
Creative have educators in Scotland, Fiona Wallace is a sub distributor for Creative and also a member of the site, drop her a private message for more info and she'll send you all of the relevant details re their courses.

I guess I've been in the industry long enough to see the swings & roundabouts a few times.

For years L&P is THE thing and then gels have a little surge and then the L&P comes back round again as all the gel users want to learn it (sensible as L&P is still the most widely used and asked for system).

I to believe that a professional should do all systems equally well if she/he wants to be of service to all clients.

Recently I have had a big surge of gel users wanting to learn L&P.

You are used to using a high quality gel product and your clients will expect the same from you with the L&P system you choose. There is none better than Creative/CND which I'm sure you already know. It also requires a delicate touch more like gel so you should find it very easy to learn with. Other L&P systems require a more heavy handed approach both in application and preparation. Quite different to gel.

Speak to Fiona Wallace (geek) or email her at [email protected] and she will send you all course information. Apart from being excellent at what she does ... she is a lovely person and you cannot fail to like her and her wonderful team.

Thanks to both of you. I will definitely contact Fiona. Looking forward to trying something new!!! x

what has been said already is sound advice. There is defnalty ups and downs as far as demand goes for all 3 systems and to be able reach every clients needs i woud try and offer acrylics aswell and creative is far the best in my opinion. try and get fiberglass / silk under your belt to. I do them they are fairly popular as i am the only one in my area who does them. good USP :) xx

That's sound advice. Didn't think about doing silk/fibreglass. Will eventually but think I'll take one step at a time. Thanks again x
