Hopefully CND Naturally or CND Naturally + Gel! Just waiting on S2 contacting me with the dates!

I also begin a C&G makeup course in Jan at my local college, exciting! No other plans as of yet but I'm hoping to do waxing with Kim Lawless (haven't started formal planning for that one yet!)

I had so much fun doing city and guilds level 2 award in makeup jan-july 2010. I did this course as my first ever beauty course and planned to do no others. I only planned on doing this course as someone who was working in retail and wanted to work on a makeup counter but I enjoyed the course so much that it gave me the inspiration to do more and here I am. Can't believe that was four years ago! Enjoy your course :)

I'm currently training in individual lash extensions, but have seen somewhere about training in 'column lashes' does anyone know what that is?

I'm also thinking of doing HD brows - does anyone have opinions on best eyebrow course? HD, BDB or Kim Lawless????

Thanks

Not heard of column lashes. To the best of my knowledge individual lash extensions are the most advanced way of doing it.

With HD brows you are paying for a brand which is cool because I believe that it is very marketable but if you want to learn how to do brows I think you could make your money go furthest with a vtct in waxing, a vtct in eye treatments (to include lash and brow tinting) and perhaps a vtct in threading. I personally think getting a qualification is more versatile than doing brand specific training (at least initially).

My 2014 learning consists of individual lashes, intimate male and female waxing and threading.. So a little adding and a lot of removing ;)

I agree. Actually in my opinion HD brows is nothing but a gimmick but that's coming from a consumer perspective as when I had them done I paid £35 for what was essentially an eyebrow wax and tint! Never again!

Further to that I may take a ptlls course towards the end of the year.

PTLLS will no longer be in the new year Hun it is going to be replaced by the Cert Ed combining the PTLLS and CTLLS together :) it's a year course i am actually undertaking it as we speak it's hard but worth it but I have already completed the PTLLS beforehand so didn't have to do unit 1 hth in information terms :) 30 minimum of teaching is req for my criteria of my course that I'm taking others could be diff :) x x

Eeep! This is the first I've heard of it so thanks for that!

That's great! Already doing basic waxing so think this is going to be a great addition! It was either that or HD Brows but need to wait a couple more months to save for that one!

Well I'm doing basic waxing with kim in feb so I will naturally move on to intimate! HD Brows is pricey right?

I'm planning on training in spray tanning with Nouvatan, doing both female wax courses with Kim and a gel course. If I have any money left I would like to add LVL.

I'm so excited for you Noreen. I wish you weren't in Cork but in Dublin instead, I would be your best customer. Not only for your lovely nails and make up but for your waxing. When you waxed me before I thought you were excellent so I can only imagine what you will be like after Kim, you will be the best in Ireland.xxx

2014 I'm going to try to improve and perfect my technique and skills and then I would like to do specialised brows, shellac and waxing. Its hard waiting I want to do it all at once!xxx

After much consideration, I have pretty much decided to take the VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty. I am currently doing Level 2 fashion and photographic makeup and have done one day manicure and pedicure courses with a local (VTCT approved) training academy.
I have decided that there are so many different things I want to learn like waxing, tinting, tanning and facials that I may as well combine them all by taking the diploma and then taking more specialist courses in the areas I feel I have a flair for.
So excited about getting started in my new career path :) I just wish I had done this 12 years ago! xx

Noreen I'd really interested in how you combine beauty and your makeup work as I'm about to qualify as a makeup artist and that's why I'd like to be doing most of the time but I also do a range of treatments and I'm unsure how the best way is to combine these?!

Next year I'm starting the CND Complete which I'm really excited about!!
