I have looked through threads about Custom blending and still have no idea what I am.
Cool, warm, neutral, light, medium, dark.......

I guess I have a medium skin tone (assuming that it is refering to my skin and not my nail beds!)
I think my nail beds are really quite pink....... so does that mean they are warm?

I hate making myself sound stupid!! But if you don't ask.......
This is a link to a pic of my hand. I am hoping that by looking at it, someone might be able to advise me!

Not too sure which way to go.
Guidence needed!

First let me say a stunning set of nails, well i think they look stunning anyway:D

Secondly i would say you are a medium tone person,as although ive not seen you you have olive toned skin yes?

I think p and w or natural would look amazing on your skin tone, and would steer away from dark colours, thats only my opinion though;)

Hi Gelly
Those nails are fab, I'm def going to try the northern lights. Well, I stumbled across this link a while ago when I was trying to find out about custom blending, its from CND and might help you a little bit. http://www.beautytech.com/articles/technote15.pdf

Have you entered any competitions?

i think personnally that ccb is personal preference, the pic of your nails looks abit too pink to me (sorry) i did say it was personnal. maybe try adding a touch of orange (mosaic powders) to you mix, this may help come in line with your skin tone. i have done ccb on myself and i thought it looked great only to be told by my mate that it looked awful and it didnt do any justice. just a thought flower. not everyone will see colours like you do, so you will play, and when you hit the button, you will KNOW

Your skin tone does look on the dark side, Stick to warm colours for the nail bed so beige soft browns rather than pink will suit your colouring also creams always look nicer against dark skin on the free-edge. Have fun playing :wink2:

I've been struggling with myself too...I'm naturally slightly lighter than you in skin tone, but my nail beds are pink also! From what I understand, thats just clear on your nails - right?

I would LOVE to get a great custom blend color going to make my pink nails look like this great Brisa blend from ValenciaNails (its beautiful!!!)

Or these beautys from Lana

Is this what you meant, Gelly? Or what you're after?

I haven't the slightest clue how to make my nails not look so....irritated!! It's as if I've hit them all with a hammer, evenly, lol.. Is this your problem, too!?

sorry flower - i read your thread wrong, but they still look "pink", if you do a custom colour blend you could try samuels tutorial http://www.salongeek.com/nail-application/24107-custom-blending-up.html to get the basis of it all..alot to take in tho. i actually dont follow the recipe for the base mix anymore, i just make my own with a bit of this and that then keep my fingers crossed.

sorry again, hope i didnt offend you.
