Hi guys
I’ve had a hair extensions consultation with a young client who has had a recent trauma at the end of last year, causing all of her scalp hair to fall out.
Her hair has now grown back lovely and thick, and seems very strong but is still only a few inches long (until I heard the story I thought she’d just had a pixie cut in and regretted it) and she is extremely self conscious about her looks and wants extensions.
I was of course cautious about how soon after the hair loss this seemed and called my insurance company as my first point of contact, who referred me to my training company- who basically said it was up to me, and as long as I put a disclaimer on the back of the form that the client signed stating that there was a risk of the weight of any extensions making the hair fall out again, I should be covered.
On the training course it advises that someone should wait 6 month before having extensions after having a baby but when I asked them directly how long someone should wait after hair loss they never had a firm answer.
The regrowth hair does feel very thick and strong, and the girl (age only 16 bless her) is desperate to have extensions fitted so I’m considering it, but I’m wondering if anyone has ever done a similar fitting (Total Head including crown) and what method people think would give the best coverage and the best weight distribution?
I was thinking about Nano’s but also considering a weft, although was concerned that would be too heavy.
Advice please.
