Hello @all :)

looking for an Hair Straightener and Hair Dryer (salon quality) but i have no idea wich one should i choose.

It should be 220V or at least dual voltage....i was planing to buy it in local online stores (philippines) but it is way tooo expensive...mostly 50% and up. And you don´t know if you get an original or fake...

After research, i was focused on "remington" but you can´t order a 220v from amazon.us, sadly...

So i search for another Brands and found this for the straightener:
Kipozi Prof.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M14RI79/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1BXXQBIGBE6UH&psc=1or
HSI Prof.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MA0QY2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1P0H979H5SK4T&psc=1
Are this 2 ok to go? The bad review (kipozi) with the explosion
https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-...=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01M14RI79
worry me....

The other option is, i buy another brand like Remington (220V) or Braun in EU and ship it to PHIL....

Thank you for the help....:)

I use Parlux hairdryers and Cloud Nine straighteners.

I am going to sound way too high maintenance here, but the quality of your tools will impact directly the quality of your hair. Saying that, Dyson is the best IMHO. The hairdryer and straightener. I use the airwrap too but I feel the curls they produce are too old fashioned. It may be worth saving up because once you buy it, it'll last you forever if you take real good care of it.

I agree that you need to invest in higher end tools that are good brands & high quality, but I would say to concentrate on professional ones (Dyson really is for the home user - yes there is a pro dryer at £500-ish but airwrap is easier for the home user to use and drops out so easily). The pro ranges that support salons and are great tools in my options are GHD (great to use and easy to sell), Parlux (great dryers), Diva (great dryers/ ok straightener/stylers, & Cloud 9 (great straightener/stylers).

Ohhh I thought the user was looking for a home dryer.

I like Label.m for both dryer and irons. Closely followed by cloud 9 for both. Some stylists like ghd, and I also have these, but not my first pick. Large ghd tongs are good tho!

thanks @AcidPerm @Peanut butter @forever21 @fab fingers.

Yes it is for Salon use.
I notice now:

- Parlux hairdryer (2 recommends)
(>170$ incl. shipping) i can only find on amazon.us the 110V which won´t work in Phil without a transformer...

- Cloud 9 straightener (3 recommends)
nothing on amazon.us and they don´t ship from the HP to philippines

- GHD (2 recommends)
>160$ and this one would work in phil because of the dual voltage:
https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B003ES7GRA
- Diva Dryer and straightener
couldn´t find it on amazon

Can i ask, are you guys all from US and this are the famous dryer and straighteners there? I actually don´t know what are the standarts in philippines for salon use but i don´t think they spent that high price tho, as there service price are very low.

Thanks again and merry christmas :)

No. I’m in Ireland, Peanut butter is in the US and fab fingers is based in the U.K.

Sorry for the really late reply I'm from UK.

hehe it´s all good @forever21 greets to UK :)
can maybe anyone tell me the difference of this two GHD straightener please? Is the gold better or can we go with the classic one?
For blower, i don´t know yet which one....can´t find something on amazon.us with the correct voltage...so i´m gonna get it from europe and ship it to philippines....but i don´t know yet which one is good to go.

regards

There are 3 types the Platinum+ is the best one, the Gold is a great one too (2nd best), then you have the Classic (or old name mark 4 (IV)) this is the oldest one about 20 years old tech and the 3rd best. The Platinum+ has ultra plate heat sensors tracking the temperature (so great for all hair types very fine or very thick), a unique wishbone hinge (meaning there is no top or bottom). The Gold has multi heat sensors tracking the temperature (so great for most/all hair types fine or thick). The Classic has one sensor tracking the temperature (so great for most hair types medium/fine or medium/thick). The Platinum+ is the best but if you go for this one make sure it is the plus (+) not the older Platinum (no +) as the plus (+) has better plates and the new Gold is better than the old Platinum (no +) - hope this helps.

This may help if you’ve not already found anything. Elchim is a well known Italian brand and rave reviews if you look on google. https://www.amazon.com/Professional...ryer+with+european+plug&qid=1611416824&sr=8-6

-BaByliss LE PRO DIGITAL 6000E (looks ugly but realy good reviews)
-Parlux Advance Light (italian brand like elchim)
-ghd air
-Philips DryCare (looks really beautiful)
