White Patches With Spray Tan

Have just sprayed a couple of girls with fake bake. One of the girls had strange white marks on her leg after i had sprayed her. I have never seen these before and have no idea how it happened. She hadn't put any creams on or anything. They looked a bit like stretch marks but they weren't. Tried spraying over again and it wouldn't go dark. Am wondering if she inadvertently got vaseline from her hands on her skin. She had some by her knee and some on top of her thigh. This has never happened before and i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas

Sounds very much to me that she has inadvertently wiped her leg with the Vaseline which will act as a very strong barrier.
