I am a new Nail Tech trained with creative - with L&P - using the white powder for the smile.

I have been asked for white tips from clients which I have done using creatives - but not sure how to put the sheer pink on - do I still use the 3 zone application method. Also when I have had my nails done at other salons they have never used white powder for the smiles - they have always used white tips?

I have found that when I do the white tips I get the nail too thin and they break !!!

Any experienced Nail Techs advice welcomed!!!

thanks

If a client asks for white tips - it does not mean they want the plastic white tips put on & then an overlay - they will want the 'Pink & White' look.

So, do as you did in your Creative Training and do a proper pink & white on her, she'll be seriously pleased. And when it comes to rebalance time, there's no need to soak off & reapply a new set, you can do a rebalance, as your CND training has taught you.

Some people use the white powder on top of the tip, but personally I just use the pink in all zones, apply the pink as you would the white, as it is so sheer is still looks fab hth xx

If clients want white tips they are asking for a permanent french. On the whole they don't know (and don't necessarily care) what the difference is between a good pink and white and a white plastic tip. They just want the look and longevity.

There are very few nails that can take a white tip! It seems a lot of techs use a white tip as routine. I would guess that there will be only about 15-25% that this will work for as the smile will be in the wrong place.

I agree with Bev. Do a good pink and white. Forget the white tips for all but a few and then remember to allow for the step where the tip isn't blended!

thanks for this I really appreciate the help
