Hi guys

I have finally watched the DVD, sorry for the delay, it will be posted out to the next person tomorrow xx

Learnt:

I need to invest in some much better wax, my wax never stays that workable for long enough.
I need to buy some re-usable spatulas.
I now feel confident that I will be able to hollywood/brazillian. (Kim to teach) lol
I will book a 1-2-1 with Kim asap.

DVD Observations:

Great instructional DVD, very clear and concise, well done Wax Queen x
Models were not hairy enough on some areas.
Nice thin use of Hot/Hard wax.

Questions:

I watched all the facial waxing carried out with hot/hard wax, im worried that I wont be able to get a really good line with it, how many of you do all your facial waxing with hot/hard wax?

When I am oiling the skin my wax doesnt adhere to it very well, even with blotting, would this indicate that the wax is not of such good quality or that the oil is not the best or that the wax is not complementing the oil?

I have to make my hot/hard wax really thick for it to stay in one piece, again is this the quality of the wax?

I am currently trimming some areas with a bikini trimmer but I think I may be trimming too short, what is the desired number for the trimmers to be on (if there is one)?

I dont think I have my temperatures correct, I am currently on number 3 (hive 1000 heaters) for both waxes and it was noted in the DVD that the hot wax should be hard in the middle and be able to touch inside the heater, I am sure I was taught no3 for both...

Sorry for all the questions but having just finished viewing I felt I needed to ask.

Ps; I have trained in Hot/Hard & Warm waxing.

It is a fab DVD and I would recommend it to all xxx

Kayleigh in Surrey its on its way to you tomorrow xx

I do all my facial with non-strip wax. I use the plastic lip spatulas and i got them fro Wow.

When I am oiling the skin my wax doesnt adhere to it very well, even with blotting, would this indicate that the wax is not of such good quality or that the oil is not the best or that the wax is not complementing the oil?

The wax will not adhere if you have too much oil. You only need the teeniest little bit. I use Perron Rigot jasmine oil.

I have to make my hot/hard wax really thick for it to stay in one piece, again is this the quality of the wax?

I use Berins blue and it goes on nice and thin so never had this problem.

I am currently trimming some areas with a bikini trimmer but I think I may be trimming too short, what is the desired number for the trimmers to be on (if there is one)?

I've never used a trimmer so can't comment. I use scissors when i have to.

I have my hive heater on number 2 with the Berins wax and it stays hard in the middle but it can melt a bit in the middle sometimes when the lid is on for a long time.

Sorry for all the questions but having just finished viewing I felt I needed to ask.

Definitely book a course with Kim. Kim uses PR Euroblonde and although i personally prefer the Berins the Euroblonde is a good quality wax and you will certainly notice the difference!

Thanks Ang x

Just going to be a bit personal here regarding trimming.

Most of the bikin waxes I get are:....very long & hairy all over the main front extending to both sides, I am trimming along the bikini line and over the full front so as not to get the long hairs caught in the wax....If any of that makes sense....

By pulling their undies to the side there is a huge amount of very long hair there and I am trimming this back before waxing commences...

Would I be right in trimming it all over as I am doing, to enable me to get a good line to wax at either side, or do most of you just wax at full length?

:) Hi I just trim if it's very thick and just as it starts to curl.
To be honest with the Berins blue that I use, it works really well whatever the length, but you dont really want it shorter than a grain of rice.hth.xx

Thx - I always leave more than rice length

If i were to swap over to Berins are both the Hard & Strip waxes available in the drop in containers????

Next silly question, do the tins drop into the bucket on the hive or the heater itself & which size would suit the hive 1000 heater?

This DVD has really got me going lol Thanks for the info guys xx

Thanks hun. Can't wait!
From Kayleigh in Surrey, lol x

Lol kayleigh its a fab DVD......

I paused it during the male brazillian......Hubby & the boys walked past the TV .....

OOh the faces they made !

Hope you enjoy x

The non-strip wax comes in beads and then you just buy an empty tin to put it in and it fits perfectly in the hive 1000cc heater. The strip wax is already in a tin which also fits straight into the bucket x
