Who's working Christmas Eve?? I'm not!!

I am but with my other job as a support worker.

I was closed on Christmas Eve, but I have now taken 2 booking from desperate regulars that I simply could not fit in anywhere else, I will be finished by 12 midday though so not too bad!

And yes I am working New Years Eve morning, got 2 sets to do!

On Christmas eve I have got a few of my 'golden oldies' who are all good friends (how can you not be with them? My dog was sick a while back and they all rang and asked wether I wanted to cancel thier appointments and how was Jade - the dog), So im going round one of these sweet old dears and she and I have invited round a few of my other clients and we are all going to drink wine eat mince pies while I do manicures and pedicures for them all :green:. So yes Im working but its more like a christmas party and IM LOOKING FORWARD TO IT :green:!!!

I think for my older clients the manicure and pedicure is a christmas gift to themselves rather than getting ready for christmas. They have all had more expensive treatments than usual.

No working today, tomorrow and 23rd definately not 24th will be eating mince pies and getting toys ready for little ones for Christmas day!! lol plus running round Asda getting last minute things no doubt

I will be working, I have two clients booked. I work from home though so if they dont show I will just get some more time with my hubby and daughter.

I've got 3 spray tans booked in so not doing that much.
Saturday I'm busy and Sunday I'm working from 1.30 -9pm, all spray tans.

Wow - I dont get that many requests for spraytans - everyones wearing tights so they arnt bothered about the tan.


Seems like its across the board people not working xmas eve.

And all working friday and sat of next week.


Iv been so busy this week I cant wait for the time off.

Friend of mine works at Stobo Castle and the only day they get off is Christmas day:cry:! They dont even get new years day!

im working xmas eve, the salon is open 8 til 4pm,
and new years eve until 4pm again

( these are normal working days , not bank holidays so you shouldnt expect extra pay!!! to the poster who said scrooge!!)

That happened to me, when I worked there, and there is no festive astmosphere. I was surprised that the clients didnt want to be with their families rather than having beauty treatments.

All being well but the dog will probably bark and wake me up but I might even wear earplugs in both ears tonight.

I'm not working christmas eve either. The last time I worked christmas eve it almost ended up in a punch up with a few clients as I had 2 clients sat in reception waiting when a woman who I had never seen before in my life walked in asking for an appointment there and then. When I told her I couldnt fit her in she went bezerk and started abusing the clients sat there waiting as well as myself. It all got very ugly and I had to escort the woman out of the salon....... so I DONT do xmas eve - just too damned stressful if you ask me. Good luck to all those that do tho.
