I have just got to have a rant, I know all you pro's will say it is my own falt for booking with sallys but i did, and i have learn't the hard way.

I am wanting to do the bio sculpture course in April, I was trying to book a manicure course from the begining of Jan, i tryed CND and a few other big names but none had any of the manicure course's avalible at the time. The woman i talked to a bio sugested i called sally's so i did, they to didn't have any dates but said if the did they would call me to book. About 2 weeks ago they called and said they now have a course @ £99, I booked and paid in full, Now they say if not enought people book on they will have to cancel the course, Oh and i need to pay another £39.99 for a Mercia
manicure kit. needless to say i am not happy, especialy as now CND have the manicure course avalible now in Leeds.

And they say if i cancel now i will lose my £100!!!!!!!!

Just having to cross my fingers and hope not enough people book on and i can have a refund and book with CND

I dont think i should ask as i am worried what the answer would be but......Has anyone else done the manicure course with sallys? and was it any good.

There, rant over, i feel better now...........................

No i dont, just looked at there new website sally's express and see i will also need to do a one day theory course but when i called them they know nothing. Now waiting for someone to ring me back as i now realy want my money back now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they have cancelled the date of your course then they cannot hang on to your money as they are in breach of contract. Telephone their head office, customer services and complain. I have made complaints about staff at Sally's before and one of them was sent on a Customer Service course because of it!

Sally's have a new boss now, since last year I think and they are about to turn many of their stores into trade only. This will be happening this year and we will all have new cards and numbers. There are also plans to only sell hair stuff to qualified hairdressers and beauty stuff to qualified beauty therapists. No general public at all in these stores. I think they are also changing the name as well by dropping the Sally's. :)

they havent canceld it yet, they are only saying i am the only one booked on the course, so obviously i wont be able to go ahead, i am more annoyed at the extra money for a kit as they are normaly included in the training, I am also worried the training might not be up to much.

Hi

Personally i wouldnt bother with sallys as mercia products are not very good. I would tell them the new date that they have given you is no good and that you want a refund. If they dont give you a refund then call there head office. Go with CNd they are the best out there and there products are amazing.

Well if you really cant get your money back it may be ok it depends on your teacher.
You will still be able to purchase creative manicure products after with your sallys certificate they will be accredited by someone.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY, i am off to sallys tomorrow for a refund. CND here i come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What happened? Did it get cancelled?

Well.....I asked for more info on exactley what would be included on the course and the lady at sally's couldn't tell me so i went on line to look and see if i could find out. I found on the sight that if you have no beauty experence you must first attend there one day theory course witch i was not told about at the time of booking so i called them back and she tryed to arrange a different manicure course that would not recuire the one day theory as i said i was not paying another £95 for theory, but the other manicure course was another £10, Needless to say i at that point i was not paying another penny to them and she agreed a refund.

YAY Gratz for you and good on you!

thanks, i am much happy i will be able to train with CND even i i do have to waite till 13th may :)

You know that old saying 'Pay cheap pay twice' you will not be disappointed with CND.

Good news that you got your money back.

Well done getting your money back. IMO Sallys is a waste of time and money. I have learned more on this site than I did from them. Highly NOT recommended!!!

rachells going to cnd oh yes she is, tra la la la la....................you'll love it !

glad you got your money back - the cheek of them trying to hang onto it!!!
Sallys are good for your basic bits and bobs like couch roll etc but i think thats kind of where it ends!!!!!

It is not even cheep £95 one day theory, £99 for the manicure course and £39.99 for the kit:eek:

So glad to be able to book with someone else with better training and it is less money.:)

can they really teach the whole manicure module in two days? theory and practical?! and people are qualified to do paying clients after this?! i think thats mad.
