Why is my hair so ugly?

So tempted to shave my head.

I'm so sick of dying my roots only to have the white and grey roots visible again after just a week (I'm only 37!)

The ends are frizzy, as you can see from the photo, many of them point outwards.

I have random patches/strands which are super dark and thick (melatonin's last gasp?). I tried googling to see if anyone else gets this as they grey but it is literally ungoogleable.

The white hairs are wiry in texture, the short one stick up and won't smooth down.

I am obese so short hair is NOT an option!

Any advice (except for head shaving!)

If you were a client of mine, I'd definitely suggest you convert to highlights. Scrap the idea of having a base colour. It'll soften the grow out of the the colour. And you could have some lowlights in it, which will mimic your natural colour.
