Hi,

I have always been used to applying my primer in only 1 coating on 1 hand, finish it and then on the other hand the same procedure.
I read in older posts that some nailtechs double prime the nails...

My question is why? isn,t it extra corrosive to the natural nail to apply multiple layers? Does the benefit outweigh the downside?

I seem to remember GMG doing a thread (can't find it just now) about the application of layers of primer being as beneficial as sticking a poster on your ceiling and using many bits of sellotape over each other in each corner to hold it in place....it will only be as strong as the 1st piece of sellotape. therefore the extra adhesion value will only be as strong as the 1st layer of primer.....

Wish I could find a link.....I'm sure Sandi will find it!

Thx a lot for helping out :D
