I keep seeing wide tips on some sites they look so ugly, are they ment to look like this? and if so are they popular? as i really dont like them, does anyone else feel this way?

I've never used them to be honest... I would try sculpting before buying wide tips :wink2:
Which sites have you seen them on? I'd be interested to see some, just for the sake of being nosey lol

I have seen some on the nails magazine web site and also when i googled nail art!

Do you mean flare nails honey? X

I don't know if they do tips lol I'm just guessing as I can't see why wide nails would come up in a nail art search lol x
for the record I like any and everything tappered LOL

I think there has been a few threads on here about them.

For me personally I don't like them, especially because they never seem to perfect their work (no offense anyone I just don't know how to word it differently) they almost all have these smal nailbeds, no smily smiles, and a less perfect shape and finish and seems out of balance or way to thick. I have seen a few where I like the art performed on them, but only in the sense that I could see it on a tapered nail.

Unfortunately I see lot of nails where I am afraid of giving critiques/comments as they look like either a narrow flare or a tapered gone wrong, and how do you ask politely if it's either way???

I know from the threads that there are a few nailtechs on here from USA (I believe it was) who have almost every customer having these. I have never seen any in real life though...

Found a link to one who posted a few pics on here: http://www.salongeek.com/nail-geek/71598-california-flare-stiletto-pics.html (and sorry Adele for reviving that thread again LOL)
